Let’s think global! The Blue Ocean of Youth employment, ‘overseas employment’ is becoming popular.
A few years ago, a book titled ‘Blue Ocean Strategy’ was published. It was selected as a must-read book for executive officers of major companies and received much attention. ‘Blue Ocean’ is a contrasting concept of ‘Red Ocean,’ which is filled with numerous competitors. It means that a new market could be created by switch of idea. Professionals advise that overseas employment could be another ‘blue ocean’ for young people who are in the job market.

Korea is a highly educated society where more than 8 out of 10 people go to university. However, continued ‘growth without employment’, in which economic growth that yet does not create jobs, makes it harder for young people to find jobs: Consequently, people with college education or above account for a growing proportion of the young unemployed population.
